We love special cars here at SB and when this E36 M3 Evo came onto our radar we couldn’t resist. And how could we? A one-owner M3 with 332,500 miles showing on the odometer - a true High Mileage Hero! For starters, we have been reliably informed from the current trade seller (who’s maintained the car annually for around 8 years) that this M3 Evo was owned by a judge who purchased it new in 1998 and, if we were to surmise, was most probably a Circuit Judge. If we were to surmise further, this judge must’ve spent as much time sitting behind the wheel driving cross-country from courthouse to courthouse as he did sitting behind the bench delivering verdicts. Perhaps a stereotype, but it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that a judge would obey to the letter of the BMW-laws the service and maintenance requirements. Indeed, this M3 has been maintained regularly throughout its life with a comprehensively stamped service booklet and a very tidy 3-inch thick binder of service receipts which would make for some amazing bedtime reading and undoubtedly compete with any murder mystery. We’re led to believe that the car is still running on its original drivetrain and the supporting service documentation doesn’t make us think otherwise. Is this the highest mileage E36 M3 in the UK? This Evo would be a fantastic addition for any M-car specialist wanting to showcase the durability of an E36 M3. Or the perfect companion for any M-car enthusiast wanting a truly remarkable show car for weekend scrambles up and down the country. And why would anyone hesitate to add miles to this gem? Clearly it’s more than capable… The seller is available to answer any questions and we’d like to highlight that the Reserve price has been set very sensibly on this car. Perhaps too sensibly as we’re sure this car still has thousands of miles left to go. But who are we to judge? Buyers should bid with complete confidence.
