- Supercharged 3.0-litre V6 paired to a 8-speed automatic transmission
- Just three owners from new
- Excellent recent maintenance, including supercharger belts, transmission and differential fluids, spark plugs and front brakes
The original F-Type has aged exceptionally well. More than a decade after its introduction, Ian Callum's design remains one of Jaguar's most convincing modern shapes, while the supercharged V6 arguably occupies a particularly appealing point in the range: plenty of performance and theatre, without the running costs or outright aggression of the V8 cars. SB is thrilled to be listing this handsome 2016 example, presented in understated Corris Grey Metallic over a black leather interior. Beneath the bonnet sits Jaguar's 3.0-litre supercharged V6, driving the rear wheels through the eight-speed Quickshift automatic transmission. The trademark centrally mounted twin exhausts provide the soundtrack, which we think is glorious. The car has covered approximately 71,000 miles and has had just three owners from new. Importantly for a car now approaching its tenth birthday, servicing has continued recently: its ninth-year service was undertaken within the Jaguar Land Rover network, followed by its tenth-year service with an independent Jaguar specialist. Earlier history is partially documented, with Jaguar's Online Service History providing the facility to verify servicing recorded electronically against the VIN. Inside, the F-Type retains the driver-focused two-seat cabin that made these cars feel special from the outset, with electrically adjustable memory seats, a panoramic glass roof and Jaguar's rising centre air vents among the highlights. A particularly attractive opportunity to acquire the original F-Type in supercharged V6 form, combining genuine sports-car performance with one of the most distinctive designs of its era. The F-Type represented a hugely important return to form for Jaguar: a genuine two-seat sports car combining dramatic styling, a sophisticated aluminium chassis and the characterful supercharged engines for which the model became known. Finished in Corris Grey Metallic with a black leather interior, panoramic glass roof and the 3.0-litre supercharged V6 driving through Jaguar's excellent eight-speed automatic gearbox, it's an appealing specification of what is increasingly looking like a modern Jaguar classic. Buyers should bid with confidence.
